Silver and Gold Fungus

Well I have never seen one of these before :) No idea what it is but it was pretty stunning with its gold cross on its silver top and black underneath.

I spotted it while I was out walking with the troublesome lurcher this evening. We headed off to the other end of the village and up the hillside that way for a change. On the trip we met 5 dogs and 5 cats and the lurcher was astonishingly well behaved. He reared at the cats but on being told leave, he did, in fact, leave and settle down. You have no idea what a difference this makes. No more being dragged bodily across roads and fields, clinging on for dear life as he chases after the offending feline. I was so pleased I was tempted to the blip the cat. Imagine me, and Oscar being close enough to a cat to take a picture! That is something else :)

And tomorrow is Friday - hurrah! Its been a long week
