Good, bad, better....

Day started off really well. Breakfast downstairs, Ben could run around, no tv on, somewhere to put bowls and plates, everything (well, apart from a table) where it should be, dust only where I can't be bothered getting to just yet because it's not necessary for day-to-day living....

Got Ben bathed at last (he complained yesterday that there was still a chocolate stain running down his leg!! Well he needs to learn not to dribble hot chocolate really...;) and then I had a bath, and everything was incredibly stress-free and I didn't feel sick at all. I even got a laundry load going and had filled the dishwasher and got it going to hose some dusty crockery off.

Then the electrics tripped downstairs. We've isolated it to something in the kitchen, one of the extension leads probably, but until Steve can come and have a nosey around I've had to find a different extension lead so that at least the fridge and freezer are still working. I'm not sure what stage the dishwasher or washing machine had got to. Sigh.

Eventually we got out of the house, we had to go to the shop for bread and then take said bread and sandwich fillings and various bike tools (Steve had yet another puncture this morning) to Steyning to drop off. But we got as far as the car, got Ben in it, then he announced he needed a wee. Why he couldn't have squeezed one out before we left the house, like I asked him to, I don't know. So we have had our first emergency wee by the side of the road - and his aim was non-existent so he had to change his trousers after that. I have learnt already to carry spare trousers around with me. By the time we got to Steve's work it was halfway through his lunchhour and he was grouchy so we gave up on sorting out lunch and went home instead.

The afternoon has just been one great tear-causing stress with one thing or another but finally Ben is asleep in bed, my panoramic pictures of how our kitchen and living room are shaping up are finally on the internet, and now it's time to wake Ben up and MAKE him do a wee before we go out to see the bike I'm hoping to get because they actually managed to find and get one of the 2011 stock in and built specially for me!! Am quite excited. I wonder if I should put the bike rack in the car...

So the day seems to be coming good. Pizza for tea. Mmmm. :0) (If the kitchen electrics get sorted that is - gonna need an oven for the pizza!)
