Magnificent men and their flying machines!

After school we went to the airport where all the aircraft were assembling for the air display tomorrow.

This is Jonathan in the back of the air search plane being shown how to operate the infra-red camera.

He also got to sit in the pilot's seat, in the navigators seat of a lynx helicopter and both him and Sophie climbed all over the airport fire engine (Sophie was rather shy when the pilots asked her if she wanted to sit in). We also saw lots of other planes and the blades (a bit like the red arrows but small prop planes) come into land and the taxi to a stop in formation.

It was a fabulous afternoon.
