Let sleeping dogs lie!

Autumn is nearing! sun - rain - sun more torrential rain!
Spent most of the day trying to avoid writing my quarterly report! Eventually started it so should be done tomorrow.

Was in the Co op this afternoon and there was the usual no hope no job but with child couple with a wean about 18 months in a top of the range turbo charged buggy ( I couldnt afford this type of buggy when our kids were wee,) wean was making a noise, neddy father told him to stop and put always present dummy in its gob! neddy mother said "take that oot and let him make a noise" Seriously she thought her wean bawling its wee nut aff was entertaining not just to her but to all around her too! Now we hear them all jumping on the band wagon and bleating they canny afford to go back to work as they canny afford child minding!! any bloody excuse to stay at home!

I worked as a tour guide on holiday coaches when my kids were wee and in the beginning I only survived on tips and then had to part with my hard earned tips to pay my husband's cousin to look after the kids! I was left with not a brass penny but do you know what? I enjoyed going out and mixing with people and parting with info to visitors to make their experience of my island the better and I didnt care I had bugger all money and my kids enjoyed mixing with their cousins. Honestly any excuse not to go out and earn an honest crust yet I see them with 40 inch screen TVs , the most modern mobile phones, the trendiest gear! This country is going to Hell in a hand cart!
