Turns, seasons and cycles
We had a pressing engagement with Geoff this morning, to watch him print an engraving and then to show us his new folio. I always enjoy his company, and as Mrs P said afterwards, he is a true artist with no pretentions, just sheer joy and involvemenet in his creations.
The plaza as ever when possible and then the trip to the other side of the mountains for football kit. That was fine. Just the supposedly brief thrip to Al Campo supermarket brought me grief. A question of i.d. and that I am classed alongside the thieving fraudsters with my driving licence. Apparently I have to have my passport as proof. Not doing that mate. Had to use all my cash for the rest of the month. Cross and upset.
The boys rallied me however, when we decided to take the long route over the Coll de Soller on the way back, where they thought I would find it very handy if I had 15 reclaimed white tiles stuffed in the back of the car from a dump site. Well, we did a bit for clearing an eyesore and I have a new supply for the lab.
It was the first training session back for Ben with a new trainer and the boots and gloves seem to do the job, thank goodness.
Then chicken soup. I'm still recycling those blessed birds. And a new signed Roger McGough book as a marker of another anniversary. Bitter sweet.
