Pestered!

Once a week my neighbour across the road has her lawn mowed, with a very noisy lawnmower - directly across from my office.

And also once a week (but never on the same day) the council workers cut the grass on the verge of the road with monster weed eaters - a job that seems to take all morning. More noise.

I was amused though to find that I'm not the only one who finds the din exasperating. Here my cat, driven from his usual place on my balcony, has taken refuge at the top of the stairs.
