Rannoch Moor
Set off to Rannoch Station in the morning. Arrived at around midday and set off on my trek across the moor. The first part was really nice and easy, walking through a forest area, where I also had my lunch. Had to cross a river in this area that was a bit to deep for my boots, so I had the pleasure of going through it barefoot.
The trek through the actual Moor after the forest was very laborious as there was no proper path and the bits that were visible under all the water were very muddy.
After crossing the main part of the beautiful and very peaceful Moore I passed by Black Corries Lodge and went on for another kilometer before pitching my tent.
At this point I was absolutely shattered and my shoulders and legs were burning. Also the headache didn't help either. So after a very small dinner (due to lack of appetite) I went to bed.
The photo is of some Highland cows I passed at the end of the day with a view south over the Moor.
