Valley of Flowers
I was looking forward to the Valley of Flowers trek, which was separate from the religious belt we had been tailing along. The path changed, and carried off differently. I was glad not to see any mule and its by-product ahead for as long as it would last. A few steps ahead, snow peaks against the neat blue skies lit up like a welcome note. The walking was much enjoyable here. We could spot a few species of flowers on the way, it was turning out to be an off season for flowers though. A lot of reds and yellows would have been great, but the scenery of the valley was itself beautiful. The snow peaks were visible for almost all the time, the clouds kept descending and changing the course, and the light was playing its show. There were streams and flowing river, running through the rocks, constant as ever. There was one giant glacier on the way, like a monster lying flat in hibernation. Someone got his back wet while trying to walk over it.
We could have gone further down the valley, but somehow it did not happen. It was a long stretch which we were not sure where it would lead. We returned back comfortably and ended our day with card sessions - picking on truth and lies of others, which was fun.
