En route to Ghangharia
The day of climb. We got ready early in the morning and left for Ghangharia when it was still raining. The climb was only getting steeper and longer and we had to cover a distance of 13Kms. On hills, 1 km comprises of several milestones before one is completed. And the time when we start to think we are getting closer, it gets only a bit farther.
We stopped for lunch at River Point which served the most delicious food in our entire trip. It was a nice place to relax before I could start counting my breath again. The remaning milestones were relatively adventurous along the river bed, unlike being on a mule ridden path which gets even more strenuous. There were a lot of pilgrims on the way, I was not sure where we were heading to, I believe no one did then. We reached a point from where we would branch out to other points in the next two days. It was much cooler here, jackets and hoods were on. Electricity and water were short in supply, only available during a certain period of the day. I wonder why, as the only thing in abundance I used to see there was water, from every corner. However, we had it when we needed it.
