Knives and their history
The old knife on the left belonged to my Grandfather, Pop. It was his number one go to tool for everything, what became known as the "Irish Screwdriver." When he died it was going to the bin along with all his other odds and sods, no chance, it was his and it wasn't going to get treated like that.
The knife on the right was bought in Narvik, February 1979. It feels good to hold and is beautifully made. I paid for it with a UK cheque, which was eventually honoured by the UK bank manager, but I remember his note attached to my next statement, "PLEASE don't do that again." :-)) Credit cards, never heard of them.
My knife will, in turn, be going to my eldest Grand sprog, hopefully he'll have Pop's as well.
