Nature will find a way

Off out early this morning for the Beaver hike around Gartmorn Dam (yes the comedy potential of a Beaver trip to a dam didn't escape me.

Had a wander round and you nearly got this one from Delph again... but I resisted (though I did take the shot and it's bloody good.....if I say so myself).

More interesting though was the remnants of the Sherriffsyards colliery on the north side of the loch. Closed down in 1921 it has been slowly reclaimed by nature. This was a bugger of a shot with extremes of exposures, definitely one for the ND grads in future I think. Not 100% with it in mono, but opinions welcome.
