Abandoned or rescued?

We went for a walk again - 4 days in a row, yay! - and covered the same ground as the walk we did two weeks ago - but on a much sunnier day. I will put some images up on 72photos and flickr later of the same fields under the sun.

The main area of the village was totally chock full of people but as soon as you got out...

It's all different on the trail. Full of sights and sounds and smells, everything crisp and interesting.

People had clearly moved an old telephone box, possibly after it was disposed of. It's still very much the worse for wear, tough. So was it a rescue or another abandonment?

Either way it makes it a rather nice picture, lush countryside and decaying old phone box.
