An Old Airman's Life

Birthday Flowers

Lately, my life seems to be picking up pace. I hope not to the grave, but that may be what it will take for things to slow down a bit. Sorry if I have not been commenting like I have in the past. Hopefully, I will get back into a routine.

Thursday, was Debbie's and my daughter Molly's birthday. Took Debbie out for steak dinner and a few drinks that night. Last night, went out to dinner with Molly. Debbie and I spent a quite night watching recorded Police Dramas and reading. Tonight is the 29th Anniversary Party. Tomorrow is two church services and a bar hopping bike ride.

Glad that Monday is a holiday. No work on Labor Day for me anyway. Funny how us folks who don't labor at work, get Labor Day off while those who do seeming have to work harder that day so that I can enjoy myself. Seems like it should be the other way around.

Here are tulips from the flowers Debbie got for her birthday. They were very pretty and brightened the living room. I opened a bottle of wine for me and what remained still sits in the bottle. Our modern, old phone hangs on the wall behind the vase. It seemed fitting that I use these beauties in a still life before they pass away. Do it early in the morning because this day is just about to become a blur. Have a great day.

EDIT: I guess this is a SP as well. Look for my reflection in the glass.
