Escape

As a final hurrah before summer truly ends and school begins to interfere with family life, ( and as a thumbing of the nose at the bank manager), we have fled the rolling countryside and raced up to a Northumbrian hideaway for a final few holiday days.

We're a bit more up coast than normal for us, Beadnell area i think, and its a totally different experience, we spent the majority of the afternoon dipping into the rock pools and soaking up the atmosphere, there are some huge crabs occupying them, hiding from hungry sea birds and inquisitive children, but we found this little nipper all exposed and vulnerable, until it got a nudge and disappeared in a clacking of annoyance into the water... another escape.

Tomorrow we go back down to Alnmouth to participate in Volcano Night, we have the wood, we have the shovels, and later on this evening we will have the remaining team members......this is the year we win, i feel it, i can taste it,i can...ooh, i've got a bit dizzy' i'd better go for a lie down!!
