Julie's 30-Day Photo Challenge: Day 1 - Sunrise
Weeeeee, it's just amazing how time flies so fast. It's already September!
This month, I wanted to try out a 30-day photo challenge to help me improve my skills on photography even more. Just wanted to try something new, a challenge.
1st day today and the theme was "Sunrise"...
I have here a photo, on our way to work. Usually, the sun rises around much later as the days are getting shorter and the nights longer. So too bad, by the time we got to the workplace, I didn't have time to stand out and perhaps wait for the sun to really rise. So this one perhaps is the best one for the day. I don't really bring my camera to work so this is also a first for me.
What I learned about myslef from this challenge is perhaps that there is this little anxiety that we all have when we begin the day. I thought I was just preparing for a "sunrise" shot but in a bigger picture, it's a reflection on how go about with things everyday. I realized that I do know what a sunrise looks like, but I don't know how I would capture it best. Same thing with the things we do everyday, we know we have a job to do the next day, we know we have obligations to do, perhaps chores or even small, simple stuff. But as we start the day, we ask, how do we make the most out of it?
To me, maybe a sunrise should mean something more, it should mean that "Today, is another day, but you can make it a little better".
