Plotting

I saw something today that I have not seen in ages - allotments. From recollection, I can only picture one other site and that would be along the M4 corridor near Newport.

I dont profess to have taken a good picture; it was a little difficult to capture a better shot from the roadside, but you can see the gist of it.

After taking the picture, my mind wandered to what the allotment community get up to after they have worked hard on their plots. Do they get together for summer barbeques (weather permitting), share a bottle of wine, or indeed ignore each other. I hope not the latter. Perhaps these thoughts were inspired by the chairs on the left of the photo.

Allotments I suppose are escapisms from the hustle and bustle of every day life and provide a "get away" as well as lovely home grown produce.
