My little Skater Boy!

It seems that these summer holidays are dragging! Not for me but for Kyle! He is so bored of our company now! He is so hyper and needs an outlet! He misses his friends and is now at the age where mum and dad can be really embarrassing! We took him out to the skate park this afternoon just to burn off some energy! There were a few other kids playing there and I thought this would be an ideal time to interact with other children! 3 little boys were British too which I thought was a bonus but they were clearly too cool to speak to a 5 year old on a scooter that kept getting in the way! I could have cried for him! Thankfully language barriers don't affect children the way it does adults and he found 2 little German kids who were happy to play with him! Kids can be cruel!!
It was a day for nature for us too today! We saw a little Vole although Aaron is convinced it was a field mouse! Very cute but if it had run at me I would have screamed! Then we wandered on and came to a lake and while I tried and failed to get Kyle to pose by it I spotted a Kingfisher diving into the lake! It was the most amazing blue colour! Aaron couldn't believe it as he has never seen one in the wild before! Bless!
