Bold & Blue

I should probably be blipping Poppy today - it's her second birthday. It's also my nephew Andrew's third birthday. Happy birthday both of you!

Back in the spring I hung some fatballs from our bedroom window - they were popular with a few birds, including this robin, but banged on the window early in the morning so had to be stopped. I've finally got round to getting a window feeding station - it's great, spikes to impale fatballs, a tray for water and a tray for seeds, and a big hole in the back to get a good view! A new source of emergency blips :)

We got coal tits this morning, they never came to the fat balls so that was exciting. But as soon as I got my camera they stopped visiting! They'll be back and blipped I'm sure! Nipped through and saw a blue tit, after I'd got the camera and shot this from across the room (should get better quality shots from closer in at some point) there were two - very bold, too - one only flew as far as the old TV aerial, so I expect these little chaps/chapesses will be photographed a lot!
