D.C. Kid

I've always enjoyed taking pix of kids because there's no such thing as awkward posing, self-consciousness and half-baked grins.

Unfortunately mine are now all "growed" up (the youngest is 20) and their pix were taken in the olden days of film and print. Getting them to stay still for me (when they happen to be home) usually results in an "oh pleeeease" and rolling eyes.

Until I get grandkids (which I hope is not soon!), other people's kids will have to do. This little cutie ("Shanaya") was waiting at a bus stop with her parents and I got the ok to use her as my model for the day. :)
