Well, this didn't go so well...

I was on a bit of a roll with my latest pix of people and got emboldened.

Too much so, I gather, as I trained my camera on a homeless person who was ranting and raving at passerbys. He did not like this one bit and became even more agitated and came towards me in a rather threatening way. I hate to admit it but I turned and hightailed it out of there.

I learned a lesson: it's not cool to take advantage of someone else's plight and this gentleman was right to be angry with me. It reminded me a bit of a trip I took to Haiti, one year after the earthquake. I went there with a broadcasting crew from work to document what progress had been made and how our staff there had fared. At times, I felt like such a voyeur taking pictures of the misery. Thankfully, there were moments of hope as well, as we were able to document life resuming its course, especially the children.

Have a great weekend (a long one for those of us States-side)
