Messing about on the river.

It was actually quite pleasant to return to work today, and so many people pleased to see me - aren't folks lovely. And to walk along the River Stour, which has just been named in the top ten rivers for improvement. It used to run the colour of whatever dye the carpet manufacturers were using that day, and now it runs clear, with a lovely river bed.
This of course isn't the Stour but the mighty Severn - my home river. No dogs to walk for me, so I took myself off for my early evening promenade with a camera. A guy in the boat was shouting at me to ask the time, and if I could stay remind him when half an hour had elapsed. I would have been happy to, but daughters cooking for us tonight so I had to be home for supper.
