Dedication to a Friend
Life can be so unexpected at times, but one thing's for sure, to a point, it ends.
Yesterday, I posted an article that I read about the typhoon that recently devastated the country and especially my hometown Baguio City. Somehow, I've gotten used to these types of news being reported every year. Because every year, the country is always bombarded by a strong typhoon. They would print out names and their ages and their locations. But this time, it was different.
Today, I just learned that one of the casualties was a former classmate, groupmate and a friend. It was shocking... Never thought I would read the news and actually recognize a name.
As I learned about the news, I began to think about the moments we had. We were classmates for a short time (about a semester), but it was one of those times that we'll always remember. It was the last semester before we graduated. It was one of the toughest and we shared those moments.
After graduating, I only got to see her once, she was smiling as always. I saw her with some of her friends at park in Baguio. Only had a few hellos with her. That was the last time I saw her and that's how I wanted to remember her. My only regret was, I never got to thank her for all the short but memorable times with her.
So I dedicate this photo to her, her family and loved ones... I know you're already in a special place, among the stars. May you rest in peace...
