The Bridges of Nottingham County

Well, two of them, at least. They are Stables Bridge (foreground) and Long Bridge (background), adjacent to Osberton Hall.
Today we walked another 5 miles of the Cuckoo Way, from Worksop to Ranby. For my money it was the best section yet, with some fine flora along the way, including some beautiful hedgerows and old woodland. The weather was a bit overcast, but that couldn't diminish the beauty and serenity of this section of the Chesterfield Canal. The wait for the bus from the city centre to home was made much more interesting by the view of a peregrine falcon on top of the highest of Sheffield Hallam Uni's buildings.
We went straight out again when we got home and went for a drink and a curry with friends, hence the late-ish and rather hurried blip.
