Packing down

Time to go home today :( I have finished my backblips for the weekend, and have also put a couple of pics up on my other blip account (they're linked from the appropriate days, somewhere in the text). There's only two backblips, go and have a look ;)

Ben's face when we announced that if he wanted to go and play with Ede he needed to take pyjamas and nappy off and put some pants on though was brilliant - proper big grin!! He was thrilled to find some bright blue pants and took great delight in showing Ede his new blue pants. He did really well and the blue pants stayed dry all morning and the potty got used well enough! Still proud of him :)

Breakfast took far too long as usual but we managed to get both tents unloaded and everything packed away and the tents put down by about half-past midday eventually. The sun was kind and shone brightly so everything was dry - no need to get the tents out to dry them out at a later date.

Ben and Ede were funny. They got a racket each and played guitar on them, singing along. Then they got an umbrella out each, and were playing in the sunshine with their umbrellas. Eventually both were just too tired to play so the ended up playing with cars in Ede's tent until it got too hot and they were kicked out anyway so the tent could come down.

Once home we unloaded the car, got back in and headed off to the beach for a late lunch and to meet up with Ede and his family again for one last play of the holiday. Steve took Ben down to splash in the puddles as the tide had gone out and I had a lovely sit down and watched from a distance!

Home again and Ben's in bed and I need to go to bed and will do very very soon. Still sleeping in sleeping bags - tomorrow the upstairs clean-up operation begins and hopefully we can sleep under sheets in our bed tomorrow night as the dust will have been banished from our bedroom!
