Go Go Go....

I LOVE agility! I am getting better at some things and a little bit worse at others!!

Tonight we were joined by another puppy Collie called Riley. Riley is exactly the same age as me but OH MY GOD....he is PERFECT at agility. His mum has been training dogs for 17 years and Riley is SOOOOO well behaved! To start off a run of jumps his mum says "Riley, Wedge" and Riley runs and lies down between her legs facing the way he is meant to go! How cool is that?! Mum really wants to find out how to teach me that!

I am still having real trouble focussing on my toy and also, when I do the contact things like the plank and the sea-saw, I am in such a rush to get to the other end and my treat that I hurtle on and don't do it properly. My legs go everywhere and I slip off! Apparently next week I am not allowed ANY treats! You see I am far too focussed on my treats and not the job in hand. I don't understand..... What do I get if I do it right now.......? OOOOOHHHHH....hang on, mum has just explained that this is when I get to play with the toy........if I can be bothered eh?! *giggle*

Tonight I did 3 jumps, into tunnel with a bend, out and over 2 jumps to finish! My wait is perfect, mum runs forward a bit, pointing to tunnel with my toy in her hand, then shouts GO , then TUNNEL....and I do the jumps, into the tunnel and when I come out the other end mum will throw my toy over the last 2 jumps to the finish............Well, she will try to throw it to the end. You see, mum has a "girlie" throw. She was sooo excited about me getting it right that she lobbed my toy sideways and got all muddled up, hee hee! It was very funny, everyone was laughing at her!

This picture of me is the second time, I had just come out of tunnel and was heading towards my toy! I got it all right!! It was FANTASTIC and I got lots of cheering. I looked at mum for some chicken but boooo I didn't get any. She threw my toy for me but I just looked at it and then looked back at the chicken pouch!! I think I am addicted to chicken!!

Daddy is going to have a go at taking me to agility a few times, as he thinks it looks like great fun! I can't wait for that!! I will show him how to have such a good time!

My boy Blue the dreamy Collie was back tonight, he has been away because he has been "seen too" (whatever that means?) but poor Blue had a bad reaction and an infection so he has been quite poorly. He wasn't very interested in me tonight either? Maybe I should try some fox poo perfume next week?

Thank you soooooooo much to everyone who looked, commented and favourited my entry yesterday! I am very flattered and I love to make you all proud of me. I'm still on cloud nine about it :-)
