Empty nest ...

I blipped the Swallow babies in one of the stable nests yesterday (and in view of just HOW young they are I worry for their futures at this time of year). Today is the turn of the much older, now becoming independant, young from the other occupied nest. Tonight they've abandoned the nest totally, and are using the ledge at the top of the wall as their overnight resting place.
After quite a few attempts with camera held high above the head and zoomed, I settled on this shot for my blip today.
I had taken some other potential blips earlier in the day and this shot of a Stock would have been my choice had the Swallow ones been a total failure.
