Starlings Feeding Frenzy

I had only just put some dried mealworms out on our bird feeder earlier and literally within seconds the starlings invaded!!! Most of them were beautifully coloured juveniles and there were a couple of almighty scraps trying to get a share of the mealworms!! We had our first robin into the garden on Friday feeding on the ground feeder, hopefully will try and get a shot of him in the next day or so.
Really enjoy seeing all the birds coming into the garden, apart from the pigeons and the magpies!!! They just gobble everything up! I have to say I do tend to shoo them off!
In other news, my hubby is finally home from work after being there since 8 am Friday morning!! Managed to grab a few hours of fitful sleep in one of the on-call rooms but has to be a record perfusionist shift!!! Oh well, no more of having the bed to myself!
