Sort of Deja vu

Travelled home from Christchurch late this afternoon.

I bought my camera in Christchurch on 3rd September last year, so the first real photos I took with it were of earthquake damage the next day.

On the Sunday (5th), travelling home to Murchison, we stopped at the Red Post rest area and I took a photo of light beams through clouds - which became my very first blip. Tonight travelling home we pulled into the same rest area in the hope of capturing a blip.

Those are the only 2 times I've ever stopped here, and that is one week off a year between each visit. This evening there were no light beams but looking back towards Christchurch there was the beginnings of a soft sunset.
