Fresh air

A super day filled with fun outside. We managed a quick trip to the Blackberry Festival downtown for lunch and to check out the vendors. We then headed out to Tugman State Park to kayak with pddesigns and her hubby. The boys rode with us in the kayaks, and it was such amazing fun. The boys are still talking about it tonight.

After the boys' nap, we walked across the street to the bay to fly their new kites. I got them last weekend at a proper kite shop and am so completely impressed. There is truly no way to mess them up. The have no sticks and fit tight in a little bag. Awesome for little people. While at the beach, we found a very large, dead rabbit. It looked like a pet, and it was a bit sad to see it there. The boys took it and buried it and then fashioned a little cross from sticks and beach grass. Very sweet.

Well dinner is on the table, and I've lost my spot! G'night!

P.S. I did forget to mention my oldest finally took a tumble on the bike. Face first into the ground and just 4 days before school starts. So hard to see your little ones in pain. He was determined not to ride again, but by the time we got home this afternoon, he was hitting the pedals once again. Boys. :)
