Catch-Up
This is the Coffee House, which seems to be one of Aberdeen's best kept secrets. Hidden away on Gaelic Lane, it's been open 18 months and is just wonderful. Well worth a visit and it's open until 8pm for evening catch-ups.
A and I were having a catch-up this evening and started here as I thought she would really like it. The trouble is, when A and I start chatting we can't really seem to stop, hence a quick juice before heading out for tea lasting over an hour. We had to catch up on our new jobs, then there's the craft stuff, general chit chat.
So as the staff were starting to close up we thought we better leave and find somewhere for tea! After a wee bit of debate we decided to go to Ma's.
We got a drink, sat down, had a look at the menus, chatted and then went to order. However unbeknownst to us we'd been chatting for an hour and it was now past nine, so we'd missed the kitchen! What to do in this situation? Have another glass of wine and head somewhere else after that... logical?
After the next glass of wine and copious amounts of blether, including a lovely catch-up with an old school friend, it was now well after half past ten, so the new plan was to get a chipper on the way home and eat it on the benches at the King... A wasn't sure what King but I assured her there was one.
So after the next glass of wine (or two?!) and the barman saying we really have to leave now as it was well after 12, we decided we better go home.
to be continued...
