Results Day

A day for reflection (literally!)

Up early and into school.

It's results day!

Happiness, disappointment, worry - all human emotion was on display.

All good from a department point of view, all good from a school point of view.

Others may judge differently.

All students have different stories.

Those who missed a B by 1 mark.

Those who gained A*, those happy with a G.

Good to see colleagues and pupils alike.

Sight of a new baby brought in by one of my colleagues and his wife brought it all back to me - a magic time and something to put results into perspective(If you're reading this Mr and Mrs H he's a sweetie!).

A quick post result pint followed by a trip to the massive Chinese supermarket for an £8 wok (cheaper the better is best apparently!) and various exotic ingredients to make us Thai ready.

Running should be on the cards this afternoon but that post result pint has put the kibosh on that one. Six weeks until the Liverpool Marathon and I'm not sure I'm quite on target.

Six weeks is a long time though!

Son #2 has just poured his brush rinsing water all over the kitchen table! Time to go...

Yes, the lamp shade probably needs a dust!
