We only get what we give...

I decided cycling all the way today was the way to travel. I missed being out on the bike yesterday; and half way here I thought... I wish I had got the train.

The wind was against me, and despite the sky being blue, and the clouds white and fluffy and high, it was very hard going. The smell of the brambles bursting in to season cheered me somewhat - so fresh and fruity and sweet a smell you couldn't help but be gee'd on by it.

Smells are like drugs. You can sniff a smell and be transported. This morning, I was 6, and wandering the fields at the back of the house, pulling the brambles, and looking at the stains of juice on my fingers. Bursting each little bubble of juice and examining the fruit in detail.

Work is busy - loads of orders, and requests to fulfil, so we have all been face down. Apart that is, for a wee five minutes when My Mum and My Nant appeared at the office door. They had been passing and decided to stop by and say hello! The pair of them do make me smile! They are least like sisters as you could imagine. With one nagging each as much as the other!

I stopped at 1, and made my lunch. I don't actually think there is anything quite so nice as a Tiger Roll, Rare Roast Beef and Rocket, spread of lurpak and a spinkle of salt. Can't eat too often though, which is maybe why I like it so much - the bread doesn't agree with my insides! Dang!

For now, am full, and rested and time to crack on with the day job!
