Love my Butterfly Bushes!

This morning, I was busy outside, bustling around (and probably doing a whole lot of nothing!) when I saw a butterfly flitting about in the Butterfly Bushes in front of the house.

I am in the habit of getting dressed in the morning and bringing both of my cameras downstairs with me. I have learned after a few missed photo ops that the "right moment" is just that and may never be repeated. Thus, my motto is that I shall always be ready!

Without even thinking, I went inside and grabbed my camera. When I got back to the bush, the butterfly was still busy there. I was surprised when I fianlly took a good look at my subject! I featured a White Admiral Butterfly here on June 15.

At the time I posted my photo, I had never seen the back of the White Admiral's wings....they are so beautiful! The closed wings of the White Admiral are as pretty as when opened!
