Blanked again

Headed up to Lunna today for a spot of fishing off the rocks. Sadly it was another blank but with two memorable moments but for very different reasons.

The first was the wonderful twenty minutes we spent sitting on the shore watching an otter in the bay and while doing so a stoat ran over our wellie boots! The second was the depressing site of watching a scallop dredger going back and forward less than one hundred yards off the shore and seeing the amount of dead stuff (I think they like the term by-catch, but it's well and truely dead) being thrown back overboard. I knew about it, but had no idea how damaging it was. The message? Make sure you only buy hand dived scallops folks!

Another day of magnificent weather but you can tell by my photo looking North that there might be a change on the way.
