Sir Walter at the Festival

I had half an hour to myself tonight , walking from a reception for Indian academics at the Royal Society in George St up to Infirmary Street to have dinner with Cailean. I was going to take some pictures of the city en fete for the festivals but , walking past the Scott Monument , I got fascinated by looking ( closely, perhaps for the first time) at the image of the man. This is him , dressed up a little for the events going on all around.
