France does very much observe the Sabbath, whereas we in the UK use it as an excuse the pop down to B&Q for some DIY stuff or do the week's shopping at Tesco.

Not that everyone goes to church here - definitely not. Maybe only 30% attend masses which I would imagine is many more than church attendance in the UK. Well, keeping up my record for Sunday church attendance, I yet again failed to go anywhere near a church in France too and instead roamed free with a camera while those suffering from heat lethargy stayed at home and played with the new kitten 'Plume'.

I spotted these two ladies having and early evening chat by the roadside. It looked a very long chat, as they were still there some while later!
