End2End Day 4

This creation deserved a Blip, it's one of our teams on End2End 2011 Banger Rally, and they made a Caravan Castle. It's actually Rochester Castle (apparently) and they even have a round turret. (Go look it up).

So as authentic caravan castles go, this is quite authentic. It was also hugely popular, with a great team.

They did manage to squeeze this caravan down the smallest lane you could imagine to a fantastic campsite at Stonethwaite in the Lake District. Even the farmer who owns/runs the site was egging them on to get it onto the site!

Question, can a caravan bounce off a rock when towed down an unsuitable road: Yes.

The caravan did not get away unscathed though as the A frame for the towbar had actually bent on the way down the track. Not too badly bent though, but definitely had bent a bit. This wasn't a problem as it was staying at John O'Groats. This poor caravan (or what was left of it) was on a one way trip long before the event started.
