Year Three

Where's a rally car when you need one?

Well, that's what I was thinking today when following the coast road on our trip round the UK.

The sky was amazing, the Scottish scenery was amazing, the driving was great fun (despite going slowly for my travel sick and frankly awful passenger that is my father).

And so there I was, with a small dilemma. I have two of the three things I need for a great photograph - scenery, sky, but no subject (eg a car - I take car photographs if you hadn't guessed).

So we waited and waited for one of our rally cars to pass, but unfortunately most people were ahead of us.

We carried on a bit round the loch and got stuck behind a few vehicles, and to our delight a team caught us up. And if I could have chosen any car, it would have been this Audi with it's Starsky and Hutch'esque white stripe down the side. Could not be more pleased.

A very simple but beautifully executed theme. Plus the owner kept polishing it whenever I pointed the camera in it's direction, which was nice.
