Preparing for take off!

Beautiful blue sky morning. I spent much of it hanging out of the bedroom window looking at the young swallows. they were congregating in great numbers on the wires close to the house. They were also on the roof across the road, all were preening and enjoying the sunshine. I think it's a bit early for their migration but the feeling was one of preparation. Beautiful little birds facing an incredible journey.
I had a friend for lunch, she joined me in 'hanging out of the window' with her camera. The mission for the day was to demonstrate how to make bread buns. We did this then enjoyed the buns fresh from the oven. There's not a lot I claim to do well but bread buns are one of my successes with the help of my trusty bread maker!
Dog & Gun later for a very good Thai curry, an excellent Friday altogether!
