Went to visit the Big World of Art with D. Very inspired by David Mach and his biblical collages. So un-photoshop to be able to actually see all the bits of cutting and pasting - layers and layers of it. And then on the fourth floor you can watch his team of magical elves actually cutting hundreds of little daggers and grenades out of Commando cartoon books ready to be included in The Last Supper. There was a rowing machine in the corner for when their backs got stiff from crouching over their scalpels.

Then up the re-vamped Scotsman stairs with a different type of marble on each step and not a sniff of piss anywhere.

Down Cockburn Street and through Princes Street Gardens to the Elizabeth Blackadder exhibition. I know there's lots of cats and flowers but there's something about them that stops you short and makes you want to keep looking and looking.
