Downy Woodpecker

This Downy Woodpecker has been at this suet all day. Interesting as this suet was NOT the one with red pepper to ward off the raccoons, but H realized that when he put it up and sprinkled some of that pepper on it. My conclusion is that the Downy Woodpeckers are fussy about their suet and like this one a lot better than the more peppery one! ....but so far no raccoons....! I especially liked the light pattern behind....
