Choking hazard

Milo's arrival seems to have coincided with his older brother's shift towards toys with really small pieces...

When we opened these soldiers and saw just how much delicate assembly it entailed I thought they might be heading for the back of a cupboard pretty quickly. Tom, however, has amazed me. His patience with following the instructions and glueing the tiny pieces has been a pleasure to watch - he showed me the results with such pride.

He has also taken a particularly macabre interest in the replacement of the soldier's heads - 'execute him! chop his head off!!!'... not so Steiner... better address that one before term kicks off again...

Fine motor skills were yet another area of concern presented to us by the doctors following Tom's meningitis five years ago. This feels like another small victory.
