Are Cars Electric?

I considered writing a dialogue between a couple about the pros and cons of buying an electric car when you live in a top flat in Gorgie, in a Raheny-eyeish style.
But at first I couldn't think of a punch line. And then it appeared that it had to be him buying it. If it was her, it would appear sexist because it would seem as if I regarded her as an easy target as a doey-eyed female caring too much for the planet. But why should the bloke be assumed to make the car decisions? So, perhaps it was two blokes. In a civil partnership. That would be pretty equal. But then they'd fall out and it wouldn't be funny and could end up quite hurtful. So it had to be a single bloke. And he didn't realise till he got it home.
