Planning
Here's Mr B arriving at work this morning at the MBH. The sky was doing this cool tiny clouds thing, and I'm intrigued by how all the chestnut trees in the park in front of the houses have gone brown. Is it a disease? Is it normal? Anyway, the colours are rather pretty against the sky, though I'm not sure this snap does them justice.
Work was really the only bit of today that went to plan. And even that didn't go entirely to plan. In the morning we finished the drywalling in the guest room, and in the afternoon only seemed to manage to put one bit of wood on the wall. We picked the kids up from their club early, and (so the plan went) popped to Castres to pick up our friends' paddling pool, which they no long need as they have a proper pool in their new house. Our hosts (probably fairly enough given our track record in this regard) presumed we were staying for dinner; so we did. And before we knew it it was too late to do anything other than stay over. And stay up way too late, setting the world to rights. In future I will always remember to have toothbrushes and spare pants when we pop to Castres 'just for an hour or so'.
