Beach Casting

Now that we had some mackerel for bait from boat fishing last night, we went back to Strathy to try the beach casters again. The tide wasn't a very big one though and the sand had shelved up so that we couldn't cast into very deep water.

No sea trout from our favourite sea trout location. Dave caught a couple of flappy flatties though and Purdey had the time of her life as usual.

Back at our place near Skerray, we went for a wee cast on the loch near our house. Caught a few tiny brownies, but nothing very big. Incredible light over the hills and lochs on the way home and fantastic quiet.
