Masala Market

Today we visited one of the local markets. I bought lots of colourful shtengay material with banana blips. Mr HF was very patient with us as we visited every stall before we decided on which to buy :0)

I love the way the babies are carried in this material, they always seem so relaxed and comfy. Must take a bit of practice to make sure they're securely fastened in.

The most fascinating site to see at the market is a lady with a bowl on her head carrying live chickens. I really hope to catch one on blip but it's difficult to take these pics without seeming intrusive. This is not a tourist area and so we are sticking out like sore thumbs as it is. Often the sounds of 'muzungu' follow us around (means white person). Not said in a hostile fashion just a kind of banter thankfully.
