Bath time
Despite the rain we ventured out to Hadrians Wall. This is a picture of the Pre-hadrianic bath house at Vindolanda. It was built approx AD 100. The square nearest to us is a changing room and the rooms at the far end with the tile columns were the warm bath areas as the columns form hypocausts (Roman under floor heating system).
Was nice to look back around Vindolanda, must have been 14/15 the last time I came.
