Having a Quail of a Time

Californian Quail, that is. We usually have a few quail strutting round the garden but for the second time we saw a gathering of over 30 wander around the corner to the rear garden foraging for food. They stayed quite a time and needless to say Ollie was out for a walk with Mrs R. Otherwise he would have made a half hearted attempt to act like a proper gun dog and chase them away.
No boring facts on CQ's as I haven't googled them and no learned builder was around today.
