At the foot of volcano

I'm hiking up Hachijo-Fuji San today. This is a dormant volcano about 850m tall and shaped like Fuji San. The bottom of the volcano has old paths, shrines and very green and wet. Midway up is green fields and milk cows (on steep slopes so they are always at an angle!) At the top is only grasses and very cool in the clouds. I love walking in some of the old lava tunnels up there! Feels like a cave!
