West Shore Pittenweem
I love these cottages in this lovely village. The tide was out today so I cropped the rocks and seaweed striations.
We had lunch at Kilconquhar Inn and then Susan went home. Horrid wet journey for her - and for us tomorrow :(
I spent the afternoon ambling through the Art festival in the rain, cloud and mizzle, but did not have to wade through the crowds. Such a shame that artists go to all the effort of preparing and exhibiting their lovely artefacts and the rain takes charge. I did not buy a painting but did buy a bracelet for Susan, a couple of bottle jackets and cards of lovely paintings to share or to frame.
I love the chatting to the artists, their friends and other wanderers. I thanked so very many of the wonderful volunteers who direct traffic, stand for hours in the rain helping people and are just good guys. They smile throughout and always enjoy a laugh - I salute you!
I love the East Neuk but especially love Pittenweem. Perhaps one day I might find myself here for more than a 2 week house and dog sitting holiday!
I will miss my 2 boys so much from tomorrow. I have loved my long and challenging walks with them, have really appreciated their companionship and look forward to taking them out again soon - but probably in Glasgow when I visit my sister at home.
